My Story
My name is Mark. I was born and raised in Canada and moved to the Netherlands when I was 20, where I studied International Business & Management. After my studies, I built a career in Supply Chain, working with large international companies such as Heineken and Avery Dennison.
While that path taught me a great deal about quality, efficiency, and global operations, my true passion was always hands-on creation. Woodworking became my creative outlet—designing, building, and shaping ideas into tangible objects.
Inspired by my love for nature and the outdoors, my work naturally evolved into crafting cedar strip canoes, and later into stand-up paddle boards and surfboards. These projects allowed me to combine design, craftsmanship, and performance with a deep respect for the natural environment they are meant to be used in.
Sustainability is at the core of everything I create. I am committed to building with responsibly and sustainably sourced materials, ensuring that each piece not only performs beautifully but is made with care for the environment.
Today, my work reflects the journey I’ve taken—blending international experience, thoughtful design, traditional craftsmanship, and a strong connection to nature.
